Social Standards in the Modeling Industry
- As a former model myself this topic hits close to home. After a sports injury a few years back, I decided to take on a new project. Being part of the fashion industry in the past made me get an insight to the social standards faced by the models.
- Tools like Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter have kept us in the loop on the latest fashion trends and have also allowed many to idealize perfect body shapes. This topic has and still is relevant today. The social standards of beauty have changed over the years.
- Back when I was modeling, I was constantly faced with idea of a perfect body. Now only the idea of beauty is changing. People have demanded more acceptance and now we have it.
